Information: Any medical information needed before a procedure should be given to the patient that way they can make an informed decision. A lot of times this takes place; however, when it comes to a procedure like abortion that doesn’t always happen. This bill will clarify that not just for abortion but all medical procedures a face to face meeting with the doctor with information pertaining to the procedure should take place before consent to the procedure by the patient can be given.
Note: This bill is not in a committee as of the creation of this alert, but it has had 2 readings as the House leadership has put it in the Committee on Committees. However, it will eventually get posted to the House Health and Welfare Committee where if we don’t bring pressure on that committee the Chair, Representative Burch will Kill it and then proclaim how Pro-Life he is.
