Message is for:           All House Leadership, Your Representative, and Members of the House Elections Committee

Message:                     “Support HB 48. The primary job of the legislature is the Budget. Legislators should get no pay for a Special Session if they can’t create a budget when they are supposed to.

Optional:                    E-mail the legislators on the committee. Example e-mail address: Firstname.Lastname@lrc.ky.gov . If that doesn’t work they have a contact page on their informational page.

Information:               Bill is simple, makes it a constitutional amendment submitted to the voters that legislators shall not receive pay for special sessions if they have not passed a budget during the regular session of a budget year session.

    I agree, hope this passes. Teachers are never paid overtime for anything they do after normal school hours. Neither should legislators.

    There is no reason in this, do you jobs that you get paid too much for!! The people have to do their jobs when they’re at work for a lot less money.. Do your job or go home!

    Get on with the responsibility that you were elected to do. Most people can’t keep their job if they can’t do what they were hired to do within the allotted time. Stop your incessant bickering and act like somebody. Make us, the people who chose you to represent us, proud.u
