President Trump is scheduled to sign the 2018 Farm Bill today which will remove hemp from the list of control substances. While there are many people who have worked tirelessly to make this happen, one is particularly special to us.

From the time she was old enough to articulate it, she would always say that she was going to change the world. By first grade, she had her sights set on being the first female President of the US (not sure this one is entirely off the table). I don’t know that she ever had a real plan for how she was going to change the world, although there was a significant period of time when the Ninja Turtles were going to provide her the backup required to do it.

From her days of driving around the Hemp Van (when we were all certain she had joined a cult) to those precarious few days when we thought she may be thrown in federal prison for importing a controlled substance, she has never once wavered in her belief that this plant can change lives… maybe just change the world.

A lot has happened since she put those first hemp seeds in the ground in 2014. Today she is the Boss Lady of a very successful company that produces one of the best CBD oils available on the market (yeah, I said it). She sits on agricultural boards, advises and educates lawmakers/medical professionals and I’ll never get used to her casually mentioning needing to respond to texts from members of Congress. I jokingly refer to her as the First Lady of Hemp.

We’ve lost count of the number of people we’ve talked to over the last few years who have gotten their lives back through the use of the CBD oil that she produces. Every day we hear of people who have suffered with chronic conditions for years, getting relief after just one dose (relief that pharmaceuticals could never provide). We’ve also lost count of the number of people who have said that this has changed their lives. What’s that saying?? Change the world…one person at a time.

There’s a lot of people proud of Katie today, a lot of people who want to shake her hand. I’ll fight them all to get to the front of the line.
Let us stand united together enjoying this specific moment.

    Kentucky Hemp Legalization Victory Party
Private · Hosted by Clint Hardy and Mary Anderson-Hardy ·

    Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 6 PM – 9 PM
    Roosters- Preston Highway
7405 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40219

This is what liberty activists, farmers, and grass roots have championed. Hemp is finally off the DEA schedule 1 restricted list. The sky is the limit.

My sister has always been my biggest cheerleader, even when most of the people I knew thought I was crazy. I’m so excited for 2:30 this afternoon when Trump is going to sign the Farm Bill, legalizing hemp in all 50 states (once and for all!) Still more to be done but this is a mammoth sized step!!!
